Know Thyself: An Exploration of the Within with Pir Zia Inayat-Khan

Within us lies an infallible sense of guidance that leads us to happiness, and that may be called Divine in its truest meaning. Our difficulty lies in turning away from the distractions and the noise of the external world, so that we can learn to recognize that voice. Pir Zia Inayat Khan will guide participants on this journey with stories, sacred sound and breath practices, contemplative and meditative practices.

Pir Zia Inayat-Khan is a scholar and teacher of Sufism in the lineage of his grandfather, Hazrat Inayat Khan. He is the president and spiritual leader of the Inayati Order (http://www.inayatiorder.org), and founder of the Suluk Academy (http://www.sulukacademy.org/), a school of contemplative study with branches in the U.S. and Europe. He is also founder of the interspiritual institute Seven Pillars House of Wisdom (http://www.sevenpillarshouse.org/). He holds a doctoral degree in Religion from Duke University, is a recipient of the U Thant Peace Award and is a Lindisfarne Fellow. His books are available through Suluk Press / Omega Publications. This is a two day meditation seminar, Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 3rd and 4th. Registration is available for single days.
