The aim of Independent Women In Leadership is to create a network of professional business women in both the corporate and entrepreneurial sectors. Our mandate is to bring value to our members by helping each other connect, share experiences, support one another in business and to grow and educate, so we build a better community for all.

Since the Covid-19 shutdown all our monthly events are going to be online.

Independent Women In Leadership events are located in Burlington, Ontario serving Halton region and the surrounding cities in the GTA and beyond. Our monthly events are now on Zoom on the second Wednesday of the month. (https://www.waterfronthotelburlington.com/)

Have you ever wanted to write a Book? Many people feel that they have a book in them, but rarely do they follow through to produce one. Let’s change that! Whether you would like to write a biography, a business book, an inspirational guide or fiction for adults or children, the incredibly talented Anne Day can help you. Anne will show us how to get over that initial fear and how to take a step-by-step approach to writing your book. ANNE DAY, Bio Anne has had an eclectic career from leadership roles in the non-profit sector, to working in government on women’s issues, to being the editor of a national parenting magazine and then to having her own consulting practice. Anne is the author of eight books that focus on women in business. Her recent book "20/20 Looking Back on a Life Well-lived and the Lessons Learned", came out in October 2020 and it's an absolutely brilliant Book! In June 2016, Anne launched Full Circle Publishing, a hybrid publishing company, she knows only too well what is involved in getting your words out into the world and has a team of experts to help authors every step of the way. Anne is also the Founder of Company of Women, an award-winning organization that supports women entrepreneurs. When she's not planning programs for Company of Women, she is writing. Anne is married and has two adult daughters, a dog, and lives on a farm near Guelph.
