Indian OpenStack User Group is pleased to announce "Pune, Let's OpenStack 2017" event, happening on 16th April, 2017 at Red Hat, Pune (India).

The event will be focused on rebooting OpenStack awareness in Pune region.The meetup will consists of 4-5 talks of 20-25 mins each.

Program Schedule

Since we are rebooting, its time to first meet and share our knowledge about OpenStack. As many of us might be interested as a developer/operator/admin, the first half will be networking and discussion around OpenStack.

The second half will have the following talks:

1. OpenStack Infrastructure Management using Cloudfroms/ManageIQ

Developing OpenStack on-goining maintenance strategy is crucial for healthy and successful Private Cloud. This session will talk about how one can manage large OpenStack environment efficiently by creating self-service portal to orchestrate instances provisioning, use various operational and trend reports for capacity planning and smart state analysis feature of ManageIQ to create security compliance. It will also briefly cover automation framework of ManageIQ and its use cases.

2. Catalog based deployment using HOT and Murano

This session will demo writing a heat template to make catalog and deploy the solutions through Murano. This will help end user to see their applications in the application catalog where they can choose and deploy.

3. Effective integration of devops tools with Heat to have 'ready to work environment'

This session talks about Heat, Puppet, their integration and how this could be leveraged by Devops.

There would also be discussion on interests/talks for the future meetups.
