Indie Game Developer Meetup

Meeting is in in the new Large Conference Room I - on the second Floor.

Do you know how or want to develop video games? Do you want to help others develop video games?

This is the meetup for you to join then. We are a bunch of very laid back developers who come together every two weeks to blow off steam and nerd out a little bit.

We talk about games that we are developing, games we have played lately, games we played as kids... pretty much anything that anyone wants to talk about.

We encourage members to bring works in progress for critique and feedback any time. Not a member? You are free to come and take part! If you want to drop by to get feedback on your work and scoot on out afterwards that's fine, we are glad to help.

So come on out to a meetup or two, you will have a good time talking games with us.

Was a great meetup. Hey, if anybody wants to contact me on Skype for any reason, my username is gimpyspetsnaz. I want to do a group project. I also like just talking about 3d art and Unity. I'm getting better and better with Unity each day so if somebody is struggling with a Unity problem, I've solved a lot of weird issues already, so maybe I could help you with yours!

Last Minute... Something came up... I cannot attend. I know the room is getting crowded so maybe this way you might not have to split the group... Hope to see you next time... in 2 weeks... :-)

I have some of the materials for the interactive fiction game I've been working on. It's about reproductive healthcare access in Texas. So, I'm also interested in talking about storytelling at the moment.

I really wish I could attend but, I live almost an hours drive away. I would really like to find an interesting project I can lend my skills too.

I agree, it entirely depends on what your looking to get out of the networking aspect of things. And believe me, networking can take a matter of short weeks, to years in order to fruitfully establish any returns. Having multiple places as well as multiple mediums to access and germinate those accumulation is ideal.

That being said, I was aware of this group meetup for a short year or two before actually attending the meetup. I did not miss anything then, and i wont miss anything now if i stop attending. What will change is my personal motivation level. When your over stress from work, you need a place to kickback and Chillax.

Overall, there are paths and habits in life that you will have to build to bridge you forward, what those path stones looks like is entirely up to you. For me, i can see that this group is one of those pebble stones, it helps shine the road path ever brighter. Yes, it is very small pebbles, and you wont miss them if you don't see them to begin with, but once you meet it, you wanna collect em all!

It is helpful, but it is optional. It is powerful, but also option. It is a necessary step, but also optional.

What you entirely wish to get out of this meetup, is entirely up to you.
