The small Herakleidon museum, opened in 2004, is dedicated to art, culture and science, operating in two locations in Thisseio, both housed in amazing neo-classical 19th century mansions. Apart from various rotating scientific and cultural exhibitions, the museum organises daily workshops for both children and adults. An organised tour can be arranged in advance for groups of 10 people or more. After the visit, you can sit for a coffee or a drink in the lively area of Thisseio.

The current exhibition (23/09/2017-29/04/2018) is about ancient Chinese Science and Technology, presented in thematic units, and includes hands-on demonstrations on papermaking, printing, and handicrafts. We will aim to spend about 30’-60’ on each of the locations (a bit longer at the main building), depending of course on the group’s interests.
