Building a Pattern Matcher and Query Engine with Unification

Details
In this talk we will explore a notion called unification. Unification is not a topic that is discussed very often in the functional programming world, but it underlies a number of different interesting functional features. In this talk we will build a simple unification algorithm and use it to power our own custom pattern matcher and a simple query engine. We will then discuss other uses of unification, ranging from its uses in compilers to using it as a way to build clear and concise business logic.
As always there will be free pizza. Please RSVP so we can make sure we have enough.
