Infinit Meetup #3 — Our Next Generation Key-Value Store

Hi everyone!

We’ve been a bit more quiet on meetups since we joined Docker, so we have a lot of new stuff to share since the last meetup, starting with our soon to be open-sourced project and the heart of our storage platform: our key-value store.

Julien just presented it at DockerCon a few hours ago, so here's a make-up session for those interested!

Key-value store projects have been widely adopted as a way to store metadata, but also as a low-level construct on top of which more advanced storage solutions from file systems, object storage APIs and more can be built.

Unfortunately, most key-value store constructs suffer the same limitations when it comes to scalability, performance, and resilience. Infinit’s key-value store takes a different approach, relying on a decentralized architecture rather than a master/slave model while offering strong consistency.

Planned Agenda:

- 7pm: Meet and greet

- 7:30pm: Infinit Next Generation Key-Value Store (w/ Julien, Technical Staff)

- 8pm: Demo (w/ Quentin, Software Engineer)

- 8.20pm: Open Sourcing (w/ Julien, Technical Staff)

- 8:40pm: Questions & Answers

- 9:00pm: Drinks

Note: This will take place in our new offices at Docker France.

C'était ma 1ère inscription à un meetup. Merci pour votre accueil, c'était super ! L'absence de la 5ème étoile n'est pas due à vous mais à moi : mon niveau actuel en anglais est un peu "juste". Quand Julien parlait, je comprenais (presque) tout. Mais j'ai eu plus de difficultés avec certaines phrases de Quentin et des questions de certains participants.
