O'Reilly Android Video Classes

From: gd
Sent on: Monday, February 22, 2010 12:28 AM
Hi all,
O'Reilly is creating some video classes to teach Android. The info is below.
We are doing part 1 of a two part course on
Android as an online course.  It's already started, but many of you
could easily pick up where we left off, I'm sure.

The classes are every Tuesday at 11am PT and are streamed live on the
internet - you can join via Go2Webinar or UStream.  We charge for the
video downloads, but the live courses are free, and may be valuable
for people who are new to Android development.  We assume that you
know Java and are familiar with Eclipse, and we're focusing on getting
started with Android.

Here's the signup page to register for the classes:

Once you've signed up, you'll get reminder emails about each class
with links to join the live class via the internet.

So far, we've completed the Overview week, and Week 1.  This past
class, we started to build a Task Manager app.  We'll be building on
the Task Manager app for the rest of Part 1 of the course; this coming
Tuesday we'll be working with lists.  Part 2 of the course will be
given later this spring.

Hope you and some of your members can join us!
