About the presentation

The idea of change inspires fear, raises resistance and when not properly managed, leads to failure. Many a content project has foundered on the shoals of resistance, and many more have successfully launched only to see the gains slowly disintegrate in the months and years that follow. What’s a content strategist to do? Come to this meetup — and discover the secrets of managing change and breaking the cycles of diminishing value and unmet expectations. In this session you’ll learn how to:

• assess and prepare for the impact the change will have on your team and your company
• set up a sponsorship network that has your back and does your bidding
• help resistors move through the change so they don’t sink the ship (do it right and they’ll float your boat).

This session will be helpful both for agency and in-house content strategists, whether you’ve struggled with post-implementation quality decline or are setting off on a new project journey full of hopeful anticipation.
