PaintScaping designs indescribably beautiful landscape lighting that transforms ordinary architecture into extraordinary, and ever-changing, environments. PaintScaping specializes in large-scale projects, like the huge 8-wall-in-sync 3D mapping, in Las Vegas or their tallest yet: an 11-stories-high mapping at the beautiful Westin Kierland in Scottsdale. The company also represented the USA at the first 3D projection mapping festival in North America, held in Quebec City, in February 2013. PaintScaping is also one of a select few companies to be an official VSP partner of Christie Digital, the world's largest projector company.

Philippe Bergeron is a pioneer in the field of computer animation. Time Magazine called his work a breakthrough.

"3D projection mapping isn’t just a fad, it is a profound paradigm shift," says Bergeron, "it’s incredibly exciting. The real world becomes your canvas." - Philippe Bergeron

Bio:
Philippe Bergeron is founder and CEO of PaintScaping, a global leader in 3D projection mapping. PaintScaping has done mapping in the USA, Mexico, Canada, France, Ireland, and South Africa. Its clients include MGM Resorts, Ritz-Carlton, Sony Pictures, Westin Hotels and Cirque du Soleil. Bergeron has had an eclectic background. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in computer science from the University of Montreal but is also a successful actor, and landscape designer. He co-directed the groundbreaking short "Tony de Peltrie," the world’s first CG human with emotions. Time Magazine hailed it as a "breakthrough.” It closed SIGGRAPH’85, the premier computer graphics trade show. As an actor, Philippe has appeared in "Iron Man 2," "Mad Men," "Rush Hour 3," "Entourage," "Family Man," "Contact," "Godzilla," "E.R.," and guest-starred on the season premiere of "The Sopranos" final season.

As a landscape designer, Philippe has created "The Forest of Mirrors," a garden that would make Houdini proud. Using over fifty giant hidden mirrors as masterful Trompe l’Oeil, it has been featured on HGTV and NBC. It was the location of SIGGRAPH'08 and SIGGRAPH'12's closing night receptions.
