Let's sit together for guided Mindfulness meditation- All warmly welcome

Details
Maybe you've heard the word "Mindfulness" and simply want to know what it means. Perhaps you're fresh out of a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction class and looking to continue your practice. Or you might be an advanced mediation practitioner seeking a local "sangha" (supportive, like-minded individuals who come together to support each other's meditation practice). Whoever you are, wherever you are coming from, this weekly meditation group warmly welcomes all.
Insight Summit is facilitated by Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher, Jessica O'Neill. Our sangha is overseen by longtime meditation teacher, Kerry Rasp.
This week's group will include a guided sitting meditation, followed by discussion.
Please feel free to bring any questions about your practice.
Chairs provided, though if you prefer to sit on the floor, please bring a yoga mat, blanket or cushions.
No charge, but we gratefully accept dana (the practice of generosity) to help cover cost of the space. (Suggested donation $10, but please give what is right for you.)
Enter the church on the side facing Waldron Ave. The double doors are locked, but the single door all the way to the right is open (you'll see a sign on it). We'll be meditating in the large room on the left. Chairs are set up for late arrivals, so no worries if you're running late.
There's a public parking lot located on DeForest (between Woodland and Maple). Or you can park on Springfield. All lots and meters are free after 6pm. (If other spaces are available, please try not to park on Waldron.)
-
You do not need to be a member of this (or any) church to attend. This is a completely independent meditation group.
-
The Meetup RSVP list doesn't reflect actual attendance, since those from Insight Timer and other meditation groups also attend.
