Re-Imagined Spaces and Services tour: Stephen A. Schwarzman Building & ASK NYPL

Details

The New York Public Library provides reference and instruction services to an astounding array of researchers. Join the reference teams of the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building and AskNYPL for a discussion of recent initiatives, traditional services, and the challenges and opportunities inherent in providing public services for such a varied community.
We’ll meet in the recently opened Center for Research in the Humanities for a discussion of the Library’s collaborative approach to reference services, followed by a choice of tours of the Schwarzman Building research and collection spaces or a more in-depth discussion or of the offices of AskNYPL, the Library’s renowned virtual reference service.

Note that the entrance on 42nd street entrance is ADA accessible with a ramp and quick access to elevators.

Bags are checked upon entry.

Once you are in the building please take elevators or stairs to second floor. The Center for Research in the Humanities is located in the center of the floor. There will be a sign for our group at the desk.
