Hi Lovely People -

As discussed at the past several meetings, our potluck will be an extravaganza of delectable Vegan experimentation this year. And it's THIS Thursday (Woo-HOOO!)

So come ready to have more social time with our warm tribe, and share healthy-deliciousness. PLEASE: since this is an experimental dining experience, bring something fairly new for you too. And if you prepare it yourself, please consider posting the recipe to our website ("Files" under the "More" category on the toolbar).

Some folks wanted ideas, so here are recipe sites as well as

places you can buy ALREADY-PREPARED Vegan dishes BELOW.

    Hi Cheryl,

I have a conflict on the third Thursday, but I'm posting a recipe

    Breakfast protein smoothie
12 oz (wt) of your favorite fresh or frozen fruit(s) (single or mixed)
Chop in your blender - If you need more liquid add 1/4 c fruit juice
    Blend in:
1 serviveggie vegie protein powder (I use rice powder)
2 heaping tsp of fine ground flax seed (buy ground and freeze)

Optional: You can add any or all of these and blend well
2 heaping tsp of your favorite nut butter (creamy)
note: walnut, almond and cashew are much better than peanut
2 tsp of flax/borage oil blend (available at whole foods) instead of your morning fish oil
If you prefer, you can use 1/4-1/2 cup of low fat, no sugar added almond (or soy) milk instead of fruit juice and cut the fruit back to 10 oz.

    Serve cold immediately
You will notice if you add the nut butter and oil, this will last a long time.
