Edwin Rutsch and friends will facilitate an Empathy Café. After a short introduction, we will divide into smaller Empathy Circles of 4 to 5 participants and will discuss, “What does reason feel like to you?” Reason and feeling are often seen as being in opposition. Empathy means to “feel into” and we will therefore, empathize with reason.

An Empathy Circle is a structured dialogue process that effectively supports meaningful and constructive dialogue. It increases mutual understanding and connection by ensuring that each person feels fully heard to their satisfaction. The practice is an effective gateway practice for learning, practicing and deepening empathic listening skills and mindset. In preparation watch this short introductory video for taking part in an Empathy Circle.
