"This is our darkest hour. We are facing an unprecedented global emergency. Life on Earth is in crisis: scientists agree we have entered a period of abrupt climate breakdown, and we are in the midst of mass extinction of our own making.

The ecological crises that are impacting this planet and its wildlife can no longer be ignored, denied nor go unanswered by any beings of sound rational thought, ethical conscience, moral concern, or spiritual belief.

We refuse to bequeath a dying planet to future generations by failing to act now.

In this public talk, we will share the latest climate science on where our planet is heading, discuss some of the current psychological, social and political challenges around climate issues, and why Extinction Rebellion's strategy of civil disobedience is necessary.

Everyone is welcome and there will be time to ask questions and for discussion afterward."
