A narrative universe - Simon Wilkinson (UK)
Simon Wilkinson's work incorporates audiovisual, installation, VR, electronic music, online and performance mediums; often combining multiple approaches simultaneously. This evening he will show us his work that regularly tours internationally. The most recent five works, produced under the name CiRCA69 and collectively entitled Whilst The Rest Were Sleeping, exist within a continuous narrative universe.

Storytelling in music and lyrics - Stanley Op’t Root and Dolf Smolenaers (NL)
What can we learn from songwriters about storytelling? How can music and lyrics combined become a narrative structure? How can they influence our perception of (moving) images?
Stanley and Dolf will discuss these questions with examples from their practise as musician, composer and creative copywriter. They are both members of the band Silent Runners, who will give a performance at the end of the evening.

Silent Runners caught the underground scene by surprise in 2015. The five-piece band, known from acts like YEAR, TIAN, Rosemary & Garlic and Yesterday’s Men, bring you an energetic mix of new wave & post punk.
