Mezrab meets Interactive Storytelling Meetup in the next Ready, Set, Play! event.
Once a month, Mezrab invites the most innovative artists to workshop their ideas in a laboratory for pioneers on the forefront of interactive storytelling.
In this edition, Mezrab invites Interactive Storytelling Meetup for a collaborative event.
Before we start the highly interactive performances, we invite two artists for a short presentation on their work, followed by a Q&A.
Hosted by interactive designer and former Blue Man Group creative producer Shea Elmore and interactive designer and Interactive Storytelling Meetup producer Klasien van de Zandschulp.
Doors open at 18.45, presentations start at 19:00, performances start at 20.00. Entrance is whatever you think a night of entertainment is worth.
Mum/Dad soup available!
Presentations, Interactive Storytelling Meetup style:
Ilaria Forciniti - Ilaria Forciniti is an Italian actress, theatre director, singer, and vocal coach based in Amsterdam. Although her career started in a traditional theatre company, her work has recently evolved towards a more contemporary form of art that sees voice and physical movement as its cores.
Ilaria runs Scriccioli Theatre Lab, a site-specific theatre company that creates intimate stories with the audience in homes throughout the city.
Ryan Millar - Amsterdam-based Canadian Ryan Millar writes plays, feature articles, short film scripts, short fiction, comedy sketches, rap songs and – most recently – a book on improv.
Ryan will share his knowledge on the improv scene and talk about his new experiment, where he is going to craft, with the audience, a classic film noir detective story.
Interactive performances, Mezrab style:
Ready, Set, Play! Interactive performances of Ilaria Forciniti, Ryan Miller, Jasper Iturrospe, Rik Vuur, Duncan Gidney, Jasper Boonstra.
The audience plays an active role in every performance.
Afraid of the spotlight? Have no fear. You will never be forced to play, but those that do will be rewarded with an experience like no other.
