This is a group for people who want to get together and practice improv, who would describe themselves as intermediate level improvisers. Advanced improvisers are also welcome.
It seems like there are probably quite a few of us who have some experience in improv, and would like to do more, and could use an outlet. Maybe you graduated from an improv school with five or six levels, maybe even were in a troupe for a bit, and then have stayed at an intermediate level, and would like to take their game to the next level. Maybe you would just like a chance to play with other improvisers in a low-key environment, for the therapeutic and community-building aspects of improv. Maybe you are looking for other like-minded improvisers, to form a group. Maybe you needed a break from improv and are ready to get back into it.
Personally, I have found that I have had plenty of classes. I even taught a successful Level 1 class. However, I feel like I have not gotten enough reps to take it to the next level.
I aim to create a chance for those of us in a similar place to get as many reps as we want, and to have great fun doing it, in a safe and supportive environment. I envision this group as a bit of a cooperative.
