Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) 101

Note: event will take place only if enough people sign up

Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) in Mission Bay. It’s a fun and pretty easy activity. All levels are welcome. If you haven’t tried it, this is your chance!

We’ll rent boards from a surf shop in Mission Bay and walk to the bay. I’ll give a lesson covers positions, how to paddle and safety. We’ll have the boards for up to 3 hours. Plenty of time.

If you have your own board, please don't sign up. You are welcome to join us and meet us at the surf shop or the Bay, by Santa Clara Pl.
You can leave a message that you're planning to bring your board and join us. We'll look for you.

Sign up is only for people that are going to rent a board.

You don’t have to know how to swim. Life jackets are provided if needed.

What to wear: swimwear and rash guard. T-Shirt is OK too. Bring a hat. If you wear eyeglasses or sunglasses, bring a string. If you fall into the water, you don’t want to lose your glasses!

Cost: $25 per board
$5 non refundable deposit prior to the event is required. I'll send instructions how to pay that. Then additional $20 cash at the event itself.

Parking: Santa Clara Point (From Mission Blvd turn east. There is a parking lot at the end).
I recommend to get there early. Parking may be tough!
