What we're about

This is a group for food enthusiasts and explorers, who would not only get together to appreciate different types of cuisines, but also to learn and cook something we would never get the opportunity to try otherwise.

Event types include member-hosted cooking lessons, potlucks, and some restaurant get-togethers.

Membership due is $2/year to offset the cost to maintain a group this size on meetup.com

No-show policy

A member will be removed from the group if she/he have 2 no-shows to events she/he RSVPed Yes. It is allowed to change RSVPs up to 6 hours before the event. This is to show respects to event hosts, maintain our reputation with venue and restaurants, and provide chance for members on the waitlist to participate.

Member-hosted cooking demo/lessons

Members can contact the group leader if she/he's interested in hosting a cooking demo/lessons at home.

We encourage the lesson to offer limited seats (6-8) for better organizations and everyone will have a chance to really observe and learn. Members who RSVP first will get the seats, and a waitlist will be kept after the event is full.

The host can decide 1 of the 2 formats

1) The host will cover the cost of materials, and in return participants will bring appetizers, entrees, wine, or desserts to get the party going;

2) The host will charge a fee from every participants to cover the cost. We highly recommend hosts only charge for materials, so the costs won't be hindersome for members to participate. Your hard work and labor will be paid back by other members when they host their events. In the event of no show, the fee will not be returned (A member will get the fee fully refunded if she/he change the RSVP to No up to 6 hours before the event, and the first on the waitlist will be contacted).
