About travelling
Would love to meet like minded individuals who love travelling to interesting parts of the world let's get together living our dreams travelling to amazing countries, i recently returned back from South Africa in February 2018 and what an adventure, very historical, emotional and inspiring, would love to visit again one day so as to share what i experienced with those who have not been before. Please feel free to share an interest in where you would love to travel, what's on your buckets list? Am hoping to travel to various countries, overseas as well as visiting amazing gems in the UK, also look out for my day trips and possibly the odd walking trip too, would love you to join me on some exciting adventures,

FOOD AND EVENTS
I have just recently added food and events to this group thought it would be a great addition to have meals together and attend special events, it's not all about holidays. For dinning and some events there will be a contribution fee to the host, or how else will i be able to afford to host with you lovely lot, especially if am out every week as a host. Thanks to all who understand this, really appreciate it, i spend lots of time posting, researching and creating lovely eatery venues for you all, also running this meetup site is costly.
All meals will be paid up before we dine, as this weeds out the time wasters, who often RSVP, however have no intentions of attending. Looking forward to meeting you all xx

June is a great time to visit one of the most spectacular regions of the world, many argue that the only way to truly appreciate the scenery of the Norwegian Fjords is to sail through them. Offering more than any land based experience ever could, cruising through the deep-blue waters of Norway’s UNESCO-protected fjords is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
A land of folklore and legend, unchanged by time. Where wild waterfalls cascade down moss-covered cliffs and luminous lakes shine a radiant shade of blue.
This cruise is from the 15th to 22nd June 2024

ITINERARY
Day 1
We leave from Southampton, will let you know if leaving by coach or train and where we will meet up to travel together. The ship will sail at 5pm
Day 2
At sea enjoy the facilities on board, spa, entertainment, swimming pool etc
Day 3
We arrive in Stavanger, Norway, a step back in time, with its rich landscape, enchanting fjords and wonderful mixture of old against new. Littered with 19-century buildings, its beautiful old quarter is the perfect place to transport yourself back in time to the historic days of prosperity. Once on shore we meet with our tour guide and get to know the city through the eyes of a passionate local. Or Grab a front-row seat to some of Norway’s most stunning scenery on a guided rib boat tour to Lysefjorden. Explore its famous sights like Pulpit Rock, Whisky Falls, and so much more.
Day 4
We arrive in Ålesund, everything about this place is pretty. From its location at the entrance of Geirangerfjord to its unique architecture, it’s the kind of place that sticks with you long after you’ve left. Because it was completely rebuilt after being destroyed by fire in 1904, Alesund looks quite different to other Norwegian towns along the country's west coast now better known as simply 'Fjordland'.
Day 5
We visit the magical Nordfjord, Olden, which has a population of just 505 and is home to some of Norway's most breathtaking glaciers. Each point of interest is within walking distance of the cruise port, including tourist information, cafes and a picturesque old church. We venture on an excursion to the Briksdal Glacier where you can hike to the glacier viewpoint, or hop on the Loen Skylift (cable car) in 5 minutes to the top of Mount Hoven for unforgettable views of the landscape.
Day 6
We will also visit Haugesund where Vikings and kings once used to rule, the land is now home to rugged landscapes, cultural celebrations, extreme sports and fantastic shopping in the city centre. For active outdoorsmen, a guided hike to Langfoss waterfall is an unforgettable experience, though the steep cliffs are not for the faint of heart! Or take a walk around the city for dining, shopping and have fun exploring
Day 7
At sea enjoy the facilities on board, spa, entertainment, swimming pool etc

Day 1
We depart early
from Gatwick Airport, on arrival to Santorini airport we are transferred to our hotel and check in, day to relax and marvel in our new surroundings, take a walk along the beach, go shopping relax and chill.Day 2
Later after breakfast we take a Day trip to Oia Village, the traditional settlement located on the northern tip of the island built high on the cliff-top. Stroll through a maze of small shops, restaurants and cafes, white washed houses carved into the cliff side, blue domed churches and marble-stone alleys sparkling in the sunlight, with spectacular views of the rest of the island and the caldera.Watch the sunset from the famous pretty village of Oia, visit to the archaeological ruins of Akrotiri and the former capital of Thira. Learn more about everyday life in a town buried by a volcano. Enjoy free time at the Red Beach and admire the colorful formations of the mountains, visit Akrotiri Bay for lunch with Greek traditional mezedes and ouzo at your own expense. Continue to Fira, the capital of the island, and visit the many shops and restaurants offering traditional Santorinian cuisine.
