Let´s explore the archeological site Xochicalco and the city of Cuernavaca :-). Xochicalco Xochicalco is a pre-Columbian archaeological site in the western part of the Mexican state of Morelos. The name Xochicalco may be translated from Nahuatl as "in the house of Flowers". The architecture and iconography of Xochicalco show affinities with Teotihuacan, the Maya area, and the Matlatzinca culture of the Toluca Valley. The main ceremonial center is atop an artificially leveled hill, with remains of residential structures, on long terraces covering the slopes. The site was first occupied by 200 BC, but did not develop into an urban center until the Epiclassic period (AD 700 – 900). Nearly all the standing architecture at the site was built at this time. At its peak, the city may have had a population of up to 20,000 people. Cuernavaca Loved by its tranquility and colorful landscapes, no matter where you go you will find landscapes full of bugambilia, jacarandas, African tulips, lilies, jasmine, tabachines and daisies. Day trip to Chalma and Malinalco (Pueblo Mágico)

Near Metro Chilpancingo, at one street from Calle de Insurgentes; corner Calle Chilpancingo and Avenida Baja California. Colonia

$30.00

Let´s explore the sanctuary of Chalma (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chalma,_Malinalco) and the town and archaeological site of Malinalco (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malinalco) (Pueblo Mágico). Chalma: Chalma is the second most-important pilgrimage site in Mexico. The sanctuary is dedicated to an image of what many people describe as a "black Christ" on a cross that legend says miraculously appeared in an area cave. Pilgrimages to this Christian sanctuary follow many of the patterns of the prehispanic rituals, including walking the narrow paths to the town itself, bathing in the waters of a special fresh-water spring and dancing at the sanctuary wearing a crown of flowers :-). Town of Malinalco: Malinalco is set in a semi-enclosed valley, surrounded by cliffs. The houses are mostly made of adobe with red tile roofs, some of which are painted bright colors. Almost all the houses here from the finest to the most humble have fruit trees in their yards. The streets are paved in cobblestones. Breads here are often still baked in clay ovens that are heated with wood, and homemade pulque is often sold by street vendors. Archaeological site of Malinalco: The Aztecs conquered the area in the 1470s, and established here a sanctuary for their military elite, the Eagle and Jaguar warriors. The complex was built on the Cerro de los Idolos (Hill of the Idols), over an older ceremonial site. The main attraction of this archaeological site is the Cuauhcalli or House of Eagles, which is a building carved out of the side of the mountain. A magical place with great views over the valley and town of Malinalco :-). During this trip we will explore the State of Mexico: The price is 650 Mexican Pesos and includes private transport for our group, experienced driver and explanations in Spanish and English. Does not include the entrance to the archaeological site of around 75 MXN. Pay 5/7 days before the tour For reservations and payment information Cell phone or Whatsapp:[masked].
