What we’re about
I started this group to network with other E-commerce owners and Sr. Marketing Managers who are responsible for growing their businesses. This is not a group for vendors or those selling to our membership. If you are not an online retailer, we don't want you in this group.
The plan is to host monthly meetings in or near Elmhurst, IL and discuss topics like Facebook, Twitter, SEO, SEM, Email and all things related to Internet marketing. We had a more informal group of about 8 to 10 business owners from the Chicagoland area that have met up a few times. With this group, we want to set up a more formal and regular schedule.
If you are a business doing approximately $1 Million or more online, this group is perfect for you. The $1 Million is not an absolute threshold. We just want to get experienced online marketers who are looking to improve their businesses.
Many of our group members are much larger then $1 Million in sales. It's great to get a nice mix of smaller and larger companies to see what they are doing concerning the topic for the MeetUp.
What's encouraging is the people that have attended are coming back the next month and in several instances bringing friends.
So far our first MeetUp was about Facebook, with sessions on CPC, Testing, Personalization, SEO, CPC, Catalogs Integration and other topics are in the plans for future MeetUps. Members can lead the discussions and are encouraged to bring up a topic to the group.
