Security and the Internet of Things

We are back to hosting monthly meet-ups for IoT Pune. Meetups will be scheduled on the last Saturday of every month. Every session will have 1 or 2 technical talks, followed by demos of exciting projects from the IoT community in Pune.

Feel free to ping us to showcase your IoT hobby projects or talk about something cool that you learnt, in these sessions. Ideas and topics for the upcoming sessions are always welcome.

Security is always mentioned as concern when it comes to IoT. There are enough doomsday scenarios spread throughout the Internet expanding on this topic, but little practical information about what should be done to build more secure devices. This session will focus on evaluating the typical attack vectors and discuss the hardware/software patterns that are applied to defend against these. We will follow-up with an open discussion about the audience's experience dealing with security in IoT.

We will have multiple demos as part of the session. If you wish to show off your hobby IoT project, reach out to us now. We encourage everyone to bring and show off their own work at the meetup.
