February Hands-on IoT Meetup

For the first event of our meetup this year we are bringing in quite interesting presentations with both theoretical and practical stuff from two of the most involved IoT specialists in Timisoara.
Firstly, Radu Motisan (https://www.meetup.com/Internet-of-Things-Timisoara/members/185194277/) will guide us through an engaging hands-on demonstration on modules and technologies like NodeMCU (http://www.nodemcu.com/index_en.html), Teensy (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13736), Onion (https://onion.io/), LoRAWAN (https://www.lora-alliance.org/For-Developers/LoRaWANDevelopers), he is recently involving in his well known uRADMonitor project.

Radu will deliver a quick programming demonstration to show to the audience how all the things mentioned before are orchestrated and will also present the most recent prototype of the uRADMonitor CITY version of his product.
For the second presentation, Catalin Gheorghiu (https://www.meetup.com/Internet-of-Things-Timisoara/members/13700493/) will approach topics related to the usage of SQL database on IoT devices. Starting from the power the IoT devices feature currently, Catalin will demonstrate that it makes total sense to run SQL database engines on these devices.

Involving a real world scenario and real hardware, the presentation will explain how and what for SQL databases work within the field gateway concept, generating expected benefits and making best use of the features and resources available.
