Women’s Wellness Series:
Strengthening the Pelvic Floor, Hips, and Lower Back
Pelvic floor, hips, and lower back pain and “issues” don’t have to be an expectation of growing older!
This is the true meaning of “core work”. Strengthening and stabilizing the pelvic floor, hips, and lower back creates the proper foundation for all healthy function and movement in our body.
This is a friendly and comfortable workshop for all women of any age who would like more physical mobility, or have experienced any of the following:
• Lower back pain or problems
• Experiencing hip stiffness or low mobility
• “Leak” when laughing or sneezing
• Have to go the bathroom too often
• Pre and post pregnancy
This is an experiential workshop for all levels of physical ability!
• Begin with anatomy, lecture and discussion
• Gentle stretch and movement to awaken and understand movements in each of these areas
• Series of specific exercises
• Learn Tools & Techniques for everyday practice
What you need:
- A sturdy chair (NO wheeled office chairs, or rockers)
- Comfortable clothing
- Something for the floor to sit or lay on (yoga mat, large blanket, or carpet)
- Comfortable sneakers or barefoot (no socks)
