The Inventors Forum is one of the largest inventors groups in the nation. Formed 30 years ago, we are now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with hundreds of members. We help educate inventors about how to research, develop, protect, and profit from their inventions, either by building a business to produce their inventive products, or by licensing their patents to larger established companies.
The OC Inventors Forum enjoys celebrating the successes of the Men and Women Inventors who are doing wonderful things in our own So Cal community!
We hold meeting twice a month, with the exception of a 2 month winter break for the holidays. Our meetings consist of both 'member-only meetings (held on the last Friday of each month) and an 'open-to-the-public' meeting (held on the second Friday of each month).
At our members only meetings, members have the opportunity to present their ideas, then get feedback from the other members. All members are protected by an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) that every member must sign before attending a members only meeting. Membership to Inventor's Forum is only $50/year and there is a $5 fee each time you attend a members only meeting (to cover food and drinks that are provided).
Our 'open-to-the-public' meetings consist of a presentation by a special guest speaker. The speakers are chosen based on their knowledge of a given field relating to inventing and product development. Our guest speakers range from successful inventors, to patent attorneys, to marketing experts, and even representatives from the USPTO (US Patent & Trademark Office). There is a $5 entry fee for non-members to attend these speaker events, but members of Inventor's forum get to enjoy free admission.
