IoT NY #42: Electrical Engineering for Developers

  • to
  • This location is shown only to members

  • Wish you knew the the core principles and rules of thumb used by Electrical/Embedded Engineers? With a few key concepts, you can begin applying your software knowledge to start solving problems in the physical world.

Andrew Reitano of Microsoft will begin with a session on how to develop for the Raspberry Pi with Windows 10 IoT, how to interface with sensors (with nothing but the datasheet), debugging systems without a console, basic circuit design, and how long a millisecond really is. We'll step through real world use cases.

We'll then step into further insight on IoT solution building from the team at Eleks, a leader in Software Product Engineering Services (speaker/specific topic TBA).

    Agenda

    • 6:30-6:55pm: Sign-in, food, drink, and networking

    • 6:55-7:10pm: Welcome, sponsor announcements, member announcements/asks (Linda Drabik, founder/organizer, IoT NY)

    • 7:10-7:50pm: Electrical Engineering for Developers (Andrew Reitano, Technical Evangelist, Microsoft)

7:50-8:30pm: IoT Solutions (specific topic/speaker TBA, Eleks)
