IoT NY #42: Electrical Engineering for Developers

Details

Wish you knew the the core principles and rules of thumb used by Electrical/Embedded Engineers? With a few key concepts, you can begin applying your software knowledge to start solving problems in the physical world.

Andrew Reitano of Microsoft (http://www.microsoft.com/InternetOfThings) will begin with a session on how to develop for the Raspberry Pi with Windows 10 IoT, how to interface with sensors (with nothing but the datasheet), debugging systems without a console, basic circuit design, and how long a millisecond really is. We'll step through real world use cases.

We'll then step into further insight on IoT solution building from the team at Eleks (http://www.eleks.com), a leader in Software Product Engineering Services. Sev Onyshkevych, Chief Customer Officer, will be speaking on experimenting with intelligent apps, and their build of a voice-controlled shopping assistant for the smart fridge.
