IoT NY #55 - Summer Special: Building a Business on Connected Hardware

Details
There has been a lot of hype around IoT, but as the dust settles it is becoming apparent that it was not unwarranted. The promise that IoT offers is a more efficient, more productive, less wasteful, and safer world. It also opens up entirely new possibilities for education, human interaction and understanding. But the beginning of any industrial revolution, such as IoT is a part of, is bumpy at first. Some are succeeding in delivering IoT products and solutions incrementally to their respective markets yet many have tried and failed in building a connected hardware business. So how does one go about it?
This event will focus on the stages involved in successfully executing on the creation of a connected hardware business, from the early stages (ideation, prototyping, fundraising, manufacturing, logistics, go to market) to the growth stages (sales, partnerships, business development). These businesses might be enabled by connected hardware and grown with the use of data, but it in the end, it is people who build them. We'll hear from 2 panels of speakers of various connected hardware companies and ventures who will share their experience at these 2 stages and their lessons learned, followed by audience Q&A. RSVP and bring your friends!
