Join us and hear from Robert Price, Senior Lecturer from the Suffolk Business School present "Organizational Stasis: The Undoing of Leadership". The presentation given by Robert Price challenges the extent to which senior management is prepared to contest command and control oriented organizational holding environments in order to foster leadership in a non- romanticised form. This topic will be of interest to organisations looking to develop effective and meaningful leadership. The breakfast is also an ideal networking opportunity for SME’s and smaller businesses to come together and share common interests over breakfast. The Quay to Growth Business Breakfast Series provides an opportunity to hear some unique insights into leadership, management, innovation and enterprise from academic staff across a variety of disciplines. As well as giving you the opportunity to join our emergent enterprise network. At each of our events there will be a presentation by a member of University of Suffolk academic staff, an opportunity for Q&A’s and business and HE enquiries, as well as informal networking. Suffolk Sustainability Institute Symposium

The University of Suffolk and Haven Power would like to invite you to our Climate Change and Decarbonising the UK Energy Sector Symposium The most recent landmark report by the UN IPCC released on the 8th October 2018 makes for sobering reading; urging urgent and unprecedented changes to be implemented in order to reach the Paris Agreement pledge and keep temperature increases since the start of industrialisation to between 1.50C and 2.0C The UK’s target of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 80% by 2050 poses an enormous challenge to its energy sector, which is required to decarbonise even further. The UK Government, policy makers, businesses and the academic community are rising to this challenge. Join us on the 2nd April when expert speakers will explain the latest developments and present case study innovations that will help to shape the region’s future. Q2G Business Breakfast: Team Hub – Commercialising Sports Science

Join us on Thursday 2nd May to hear from Nino Severino, Director Of The Hub at University of Suffolk, Former Olympic and British No.1 Tennis Coach who will be delivering a presentation on The Hub and its evolution since its launch in June 2018. The Hub has developed a World Class portfolio of athletes who have turned to 'The Centre Of Excellence' at The Hub for their Sports Science needs. Nino believes that the branding of The Hub through the portfolio which he calls “The Athlete Heroes” have produced the second most recognised sporting entity after Ipswich Town Football Club. The Hub offers fitness and health services, programmes, products and consultancy to the business, corporate and educational sectors. His presentation will include the success of attracting a strong portfolio of sponsors and the effect this has on The Hub and its operations. Nino and members of the Hub are proud to have unearthed some incredible sporting stories, in order to develop relationships with athletes to add incredible value to their preparation and training programmes.
