Hamburg GAA is an international mix of people playing the Irish sports hurling, camogie, and Gaelic football. Join any of our meetups and we'll take you through the basics of the sport and give you a chance to try out your new-found skills. We welcome everyone to join us, regardless of sporting history or fitness level. Meet nice people and enjoy great games!

What do I need?
Just bring your runners, sports clothing and plenty of water. For Gaelic football, you will not be allowed to play without a mouthguard/gumshield (Zahn-/Mundschutz).

Irish sports Gaelic football training meetup m/f - Beginners welcome!

Gaelic football is a form of football derived from traditional Irish ball games. It is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. Players move the ball up the field with a combination of carrying, bouncing, kicking, hand-passing, and soloing. Our meetup takes place in Hamburg, Stadtpark. The closest U-Bahn stop is Borgweg. You'll find us near the path that cuts across the large grass area between the planetarium and the lake. Co-ordinates:[masked],[masked] IMPORTANT!! As Gaelic Football is a so called contact sport and according to GAA rules it is mandatory that you will wear a mouthguard/gumshield (Zahn-/Mundschutz) . Without a gumshield you will not be allowed to play Gaelic Football. This is for your own safety as we like your smile with ALL teeth bright and shiny! Thanks!!!

Irish sports hurling & camogie training meetup m/f - all welcome!

Hurling has prehistoric origins and has been played for over 3,000 years. It is known as the 'fastest game on grass'. The objective of the game is for players to use a wooden stick to move a small leather ball up the field and score by striking the ball under or over the opponents' goalposts. Camogie is a variation of hurling played by women with some rule changes. The meetup is located at the Hochschulsport Hamburg facilities, Turmweg 2, 20148 Hamburg. The closest U-Bahn stop is Hallerstrasse. Walk up the stairs out of the U-Bahn station, continue on past the Vapiano on your left, take the left, continue straight on and then on the right you will find the entrance. Turnweg 2 pitch co-ordinates:[masked],[masked] IMPORTANT!!! It will be the outdoor ASTRO TURF pitch. we kindly ask you to wear adequate footwear (no studs!). We like your ligaments and legs intact.
