We are looking for volunteers to help get the Chalet ready for the Winter season. We’ll have three teams, one focusing on cleaning the Chalet, another to process firewood, and a third to prepare snacks and lunch for volunteers. *Volunteers will be treated to morning coffee and bakery break and a lunch.
Firewood details 4 - 6 volunteers
Wood processing
Some chainsawing
Use of wood splitter to split wood
Stack wood in woodshed
What to bring Dress for the weather
Appropriate footwear -boots
Gloves, eye and ear protection
Water or beverage for hydration (MECCA will have water and beverages for volunteers also)
Chalet details 3-4 volunteers
Inside winter season cleaning tasks Remove all screens and put them in storage.
Vacuum everything, make sure to get into log crevices (flies)
Wipe all logs with Murphy’s Oil Soap
Clean windows
Clean fan and ceiling light fixtures
