Loony Paddlers (women) have a safety skills day, launching from Sturgeon Bay Ldg

Today we will review basic safety skills, including what equipment you should carry every time, then how to assist in rescuing another paddler, and how to rescue yourself if you are paddling solo. The water is warm, and you should come prepared to tip your boat and get wet!

We will meet at Sturgeon Bay landing on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage at 9:00 am. To reach the landing from Mercer, take Hwy 51 north 1 mile to Cranberry Inn and turn left onto County FF. Go 5 miles to Popko Circle WEST and turn left. Go 3 miles to Sturgeon Bay landing on your right.
