The Algorithm is Female - tech has no gender, tech has no borders, tech has no age

In alignment with the International women’s day, we are organising a curated series of initiatives centered around “Women in Tech” during the whole month of March. We aim to encourage female techies (as well as techies to be) and raise awareness about the importance of DIVERSITY and INCLUSION in order to reduce the gender gap in the tech field.

Why “The Algorithm is female”?

The tech scene in Berlin is mostly led by male techmakers. As a modern and inclusive tech school, Ironhack wants to encourage more women to dare and dive into the tech world. The aim of this initiative is to contribute in changing the landscape and the “societal rules” besides promoting and empowering talented females to reach their full potential.

We invited experts from the academic world, practitioners and startups to talk about current realities, evolving tendencies as well as needed competencies to tackle this matter successfully.

What to expect?

A night full of relevant discussions and hands-on approaches to overcome societal barriers and stigmas. Furthermore, we will mention realities faced by Women in Tech but also focus on the advances, recommendations and opportunities to master the tech field in this ever-changing world.
