We will discuss how AI meets Robotics.

Agenda:

Lessons learned from Building a Social Robot
Shay Zweig - Head of AI @ Intuition Robotics

Shay will share some of the work his team is working in adjusting the robot’s personality to the user using online learning, how active learning helps to get to know their users better and finally how using cognitive computing Intuition were able to create an agent with multiple goals.

---

Bio-Inspired Micro Drone
Prof. Boaz Ben-Moshe - Associate Professor @ Department of CS, Ariel University

Boaz will present a concept of intelligent micro drones which are motivated by flying insects such as bees. The presented micro drones can perform bio inspired complex tasks autonomously using simple sensors which require very low computing power, including obstacle avoiding, navigation, swarm formation flight and mapping all based on sub-gram sensors which are applicable for on-board processing by micro drones.

Watson & Robots - Connecting Nao Robot to Watson services
Tal Neeman - Developer Advocate @ IBM Alpha Zone Accelerator

Tal will share his experience in developing cloud based applications using micro-services such as Watson Conversation for chatbots, Speech to Text and other NLP-Based and AI services to help other developers start their cloud application faster.

Videos For Robotics and AI
Roni Abramowsky - Founder & CEO @ FIRMA Creative Production

By sharing different study cases, Roni will walk us through the process of creating awesome videos for AI and Robotics that make an impact worldwide. Questions like ‘What are the right creative strategies for AI based products? What should such a video look to achieve?’ and ‘What is important to look out for when producing videos for robotics’? are only a few that Roni will discuss in this talk.

China Hand or China Mentor
Rami Blachman - Founder @ China Israel Innovation Accelerator (CIIA)

Rami, who is a frequent panel speaker in Shanghai, will show us how China has been making a huge leap forward in AI, robotics and where they meet, creating new use cases that make China a leader in innovation. Still China lags behind the US and needs to overcome gaps if it wants to catch up. How does this affect Israeli AI/robotics entrepreneurs? It does, in contradictory ways.
