Hello, community. 👋

We'd love to see some of you at this last event of the year. This month's topic is on chronic health problems and how design can help, told through LovedBy's story by its founder, Matt Farrar. Do join us for an evening of inspiration, lessons and reflections.

# LovedBy story

After 25 years in Design leadership, Matt’s new story began after his son Jacob was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.

LovedBy is a genuinely causal business, a tech and design consultancy using insight and technology to create measurable behaviour change at the sharpest possible end:

Impacting chronic condition management among young people.
The stakes don’t get higher. The need for tangible behavioural impact couldn’t be clearer. The audience couldn’t be harder to communicate to.

But they have proven successes.

In order to fund their work, they have produced a variety of consultancy and tech products rooted in their learning for those involved in behaviour change and communicating to Gen Z.

Now businesses can contribute to and benefit from working a uniquely modern type of company.

# About Matt Farrar

Matt is a classically trained industrial designer. He set up his first digital agency in 1995, after completing his degree at Staffordshire University.

He has a fascinating history in the field of design and engineering, which started with his first lego set at the age of five, saw him come second in Young Engineer for Britain at the age of 17, and subsequently saw him build a reputation within a global design community, as both a design practitioner and entrepreneur.

He has founded four product and service design businesses, built global design teams in the Middle East, Europe and US, and worked with clients in Healthcare, Fashion, Education, Retail, Automotive and Financial Services. He was also the founder of Design Authority in 2013.

After selling his UK ,and US, based agency Great Fridays in 2014, to EPAM Systems, and following a three year spell as VP Service Design there, he took a year out with family before embarking on his new venture: LovedBy.
