Hey everyone 👋 this month's event is going to be a little bit different....
We're joining forces with another meetup group to bring members of local creative and tech communities together in an effort to bridge the gap between Design and Development.
Our co-hosts, Mobile North East (https://www.meetup.com/Mobile-North-East/), will be joining us on Weds 17th May in our usual location and our sponsors, hedgehog lab (https://hedgehoglab.com/), will be providing the refreshments as always.
Luke Medlock is our speaker for the evening and he'll be discussing how we can work more closely with developers, before taking part in an open discussion and Q&A.
With over six years of experience, Luke has worked with his fair share of developers. Frustrated by inconsistencies between design and development, Luke searched for answers. After quickly coming to the realisation that it wasn’t simply bad communication as he’d first assumed, he soon realised that designers and developers don’t understand each other's work as well as they should do.
By drawing upon personal experiences and speaking to a number of designers and developers, Luke found solutions. This led to the creation of the presentation ‘Bridging the gap between Development and Design’ - a talk he has already presented to a number of groups.
