Hi JAMsters!

Due to COVID-19, we will be hosting this meetup virtually on Tues, May 18th at 4 p.m. EST!

This month, we will have three awesome talks all brought to you by our Frequent JAMer Sponsor TakeShape.io!

---

Our first talk of the night will be "Jamstack in real numbers" by Artem Denysov. In this presentation, Artem will use real data from HTTPArchive about to discuss trends and findings about the Jamstack ecosystem.

Artem is a Software Engineer at Stackbit. Web perf advocate. Speaker. Proud #mozillians member. Connect with him on Twitter at @denar90_

---

Our next talk is from Jaden Baptista (@jadenguitarman) at TakeShape (@TakeShapeIO) showing how to stitch data from external APIs into a single GraphQL endpoint by customizing your API Mesh.

---

Our final talk is "Architecting Jamstack Applications with GraphQL" by Anthony Campolo. One of the architectural principles of the Jamstack includes decoupling your frontend and backend with an intermediary API layer. But what does that API actually look like, and how does a developer create it? In this talk, Anthony Campolo will demonstrate how to create and deploy a GraphQL API for a Shopify backend connected to a React frontend and deployed on a static hosting provider.

About Anthony: After studying music education and running a performing arts summer camp for four years, Anthony Campolo decided to pivot and learn web development. He has worked extensively on Open Source projects including RedwoodJS as Core Advocate. He is also a Developer Advocate at StepZen and the host of the Fullstack Jamstack podcast. Connect with him on Twitter at @ajcwebdev.
