3 talk night! TakeShape, Static Sites w/ Drupal & Tome, & Editor Experience

Details
Hi JAMsters!
We will be hosting this meetup virtually on Tues, June 29th at 6 p.m. EST!
This month, we will have three awesome talks all brought to you by our Frequent JAMer Sponsor TakeShape.io!
---
Our first talk will be from a member of TakeShape showing the speed and ease of using an API mesh to achieve a consistent content experience for your JAMstack websites.
---
Our second talk of the night will be "Generating static sites with Drupal and Tome" by Sam Mortenson (@mortensonsam). While some bask in the "blazing fast" light of the JAMStack, many are left in the dark using a traditional CMS. Learn how Sam made a static site generator for the #3 open source CMS, Drupal, and why boring technology can sometimes lead to better experiences.
Sam lives in Portland, Oregon and spends a lot of time on the internet. He likes web development, security research, and games. Sam used to work with Drupal full time but now works as a Security Engineer.

Our final talk is "Giving Love to your EX - Editor Experience: Power Up your JAMstack Development" by James Vidler (@JamesKVidler). The main benefit of headless CMS is that it provides a much more flexible and efficient way to maintain a sophisticated content architecture across multiple digital properties. JAMstack represents a new way of developing software based on build-time and client-side rendering, that doesn’t depend on web servers for outputting websites and apps. Headless and JAMstack worlds are powerful web dev tools but not the most editor friendly which means more hand-holding and time-consuming tasks for developers. When building your JAMstack site, you need to consider the Editor Experience. How will users manage their content, their pages, and how will they preview changes independently from you!?
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
- Why the Editor Experience is important
- What Editors don't like
- How to address Editor issues
About James: Speaker, Product Manager, and Web/VR Developer with extensive experience in managing teams, architecture, cloud applications, content management, and building awesome web apps/sites using cutting edge technologies. Developing in VR keeps him busy in his spare time. James is currently a VP of Product at Agility CMS, the API-based Headless CMS with Page Management.
