This month's topic is TailWind CSS presented by Magnus Holm.
Tailwind is a utility-first CSS framework for rapidly building custom designs. It's very different from "conventional" CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation, and at first glance it looks like a horrible soup of class names. However, in practice it turns out to be a very effective and productive tool. In this talk we will not only explain the basic concepts of Tailwind, but also share our experience of using it and reflect on how you get the most out of it.
We'll show how to use it in Gatsby, but everything you'll learn here is applicable to any kind of web-stack (even non-JAMstacks).
## About the speaker
Magnus Holm, who at a young age decided to use the internet handle @judofyr, discovered the joy of web development through tweaking random PHP scripts. Since then he's being continually playing with new technologies and exploring the vast world of programming. Today he's working at Sanity.io.
Sanity.io is located in Grünerløkka not far from downtown Oslo. You can easily get there by trams 11 / 12 / 13. If you arrive by tram the stop is Olaf Ryes plass from where you have a few minutes walk to the Sanity entrance. The entrance is right next to Godt brød and very visible. Look for a yellow building or use Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/BuuYvnW4AnF2
If you are coming straight from work, don't worry. We will have some fruits and waffles ready for you :)
If you have any issues reaching the venue or questions, feel free to call Alexander on [masked].
See you soon!
