Image Ready v2: Image DX with Gatsby, 11ty, NextJS && Sanity

HNY. We hope everyone was able to have a calm holiday break. We all needed a form of respite for what was an unusual year. But, we’re off to start the new year with new talks and I think we have a nice one to inaugurate 2021.

In fall of 2020, our sister meetup Toronto Web Performance Group presented [ IMAGE READY ]: a series of talks around new image formats, ushering a new moment in great fidelity, and greater compression. In the few months since, we observed frameworks introducing updated image components, many adding very recent support for newer formats as well.

We then felt it right to announce a similar event, not to look at the entrails of image compression but the all important developer experience in image management. We are scheduling this meetup not to compare, but to share updated workflows to help with said experience. So join us for [ Image Ready v2 ] : a DX Edition.

You can also find her creating content and educating the technology industry as an egghead instructor, member of the TC39 Educators committee, and technical blogger. Laurie is a contributor to various publications, including CSS Tricks and Smashing Magazine. When she isn't writing code you can find her live tweeting her LEGO builds.

Zach is a Builder for the web with Netlify. He’s currently fixated on web fonts and static site generators. His public speaking résumé includes talks in eight different countries at events like Beyond Tellerrand, Smashing Conference, CSSConf, and The White House. He is an emeritus of Filament Group, NEJS CONF, and still helps out with NebraskaJS.
