We are gratefull to be invited by Microsoft for a joint session about Bot Frameworks.
Session 1: How to build a chat bot with Node.js and publish it across Skype, Facebook or Slack
Session 2: Conversational Agents - Business Potential & Lessons Learned
Abstract 1:
User interfaces technology has evolved dramatically over time: from commandlines, graphical user interfaces, to touch input and more recently even speech-driven application logic. On the other hand, users are spending more and more time in communication applications (Skype, Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp, Slack, etc). With bots we can bring these two together and build applications that are flexible, intuitive and integrated in applications that users already know.
In this session we’ll provide an overview of how to build bots using the Microsoft Bot Framework with Node.js. Expect lots of coding demos, from a simple chat dialog to capturing complex natural language input from the user. You’ll also learn how to integrate this bot in a multiple chat applications, such as Facebook Messenger, Skype or Slack.
Abstract 2:
In this session we'll explore the business potential of BOTs and the relation between Business Objectives and the use of conversational interfaces. We'll share ideas about the importance of design, copywrite and indentity of BOTs and how you can define, improve and maintain the right dialogue flows. We will share some insights, best practices learned, different tools for spellchecking, natural language processing, statistics and others.

Nick Trogh is a senior technical evangelist at Microsoft Belux where he’s helping developers, startups and software companies realize their software dreams on the Microsoft platform.
