Bring a snack to share, a beverage and the talent to wow us all with your superb voice, and failing that, the courage to not get too down on yourself if your performance is universally declared an abomination.

Karaoke night part #3 on Sept. 5 is going to be upgraded from our earlier karaoke events. Here’s how.

The karaoke machine we used earlier had limited volume, but this time it will be wired to the amplifier and speakers of a home theatre system. Here’s how it will look set up.

This machine uses CDs.

Additionally, we’ll have a second separate karaoke machine that operates with downloaded music. Here’s how it will look.

While all the equipment and music you’ll need will be available, you do have the opportunity to bring your own karaoke CDs and also your own downloaded music on your IPad, IPod, IPhone, Android device etc.

If the weather is lousy, we'll retreat to Dennis's patio level apartment.

Parking is available on the 1st level of the parking structure across Lombardy Street from One Monument Avenue apartments and behind the First English Lutheran Church.

The address of the church is 1603 Monument Ave, Richmond, VA 23220.

All first level spaces are good for you to park on Friday and Saturday evenings when the First English Lutheran Church isn't having a function EXCEPT those spaces reserved for Laurel Hill and marked with one of these two signs.

To repeat the above, do not park in spaces reserved for Laurel Hill. All others on the first level are ok.

There should be plenty of parking in the ok spaces on the first (street) level, but overflow additional parking can also be made available on the 4th (top) level. Arrangements can be made to open the auto security gate separating the 1st level from the levels above if necessary.

From the parking structure enter the building via this main entrance.

Expect a doorman to be there to let you through the secure door. He will then direct you to the elevators down the hallway to your left and up the the 4th level patio where the party will be.

Public restrooms are on the first level near the elevators.
