What we're about

Welcome to Japanese Flower Arranging!

Japanese Flower Arranging is my passion! I lived in Japan for 12 years. I am happy to host the Japanese Flower Arranging Meetup.

We meet to learn about and how to create beautiful Japanese flower arrangements. Learn about this beautiful and tranquil aspect of Japanese Culture. Attend Ikebana International and other related events including Japanese culture and dining in the Greater Boston area.

Of all Japan's traditional arts, the most practiced today is Ikebana---the art of Japanese flower arrangement. In basic form, an Ikebana arrangement follows a fixed pattern: a triangle of 3 points. Emphasis is placed on linear perfection, color harmony, space and form. Ikebana usually contains the flowers and foliage of the season. There are numerous styles of Ikebana, ranging from the traditional to contemporary modern. Come, learn and enjoy!
