Japanese skill level

About 75% comprehension but can watch Japanese TV & films w/o subtitles. moderate speaking fluency reading & writing: basically illerate as I have forgotten my "kyo eku" 500 ...occasionally, Kyushu-ben creeps into what Japanese I am able to use.

English skill level

Native, 3rd generation JA from Southern California, parents were kibei (born in US raised in Japan, Kyushu to be exact).

Japanese Tea, fabulous food, meeting interesting new people, socializing with friends, traveling to 3rd world countries, films, especially documentaries, playing majong (the easy kind), American politics, also good restaurants whether they are cheap or expensive.

As my parents spoke primarily Japanese, my comprehension is fairly strong however, my speaking abilities are not so much. I am a self described foodie & love to travel, having good Japanese tea, socializing around food things to eat & drink.
