I have nearly 15 years experience in learning and sharing skills with others passionate about (Java) software development and about software innovation... from organising talks, courses and conferences, producing articles and SkillsCast video's, to hanging in the pub talking JVM, Agile, Software Craftsmanship and all in between (all together several man-years too)
Any talks that can help all of us write better software, from some of the cool languages on the JVM to Domain Driven Design, CQRS and loosely coupled REST based architectures and from practices and ideas like Deliberate Discovery and Acceptance Test Driven Development pioneered by people like Gojko Adzic and Dan North to how cool projects like those at the NY Times and the Guardian help evolve our ideas on engineering. Most topics I'm interested in are nicely grouped on skillsmatter.com as I have a lot of involvement in bringing together Skills Matter's content :-)
Hi, I would love to join this group to learn and share skills, practices and events on Java and software craftsmanship. At the moment, I am involved in organising the Agile Testing & BDD eXchange, a 1-day conference in New York on Sept 20th.
