JavaScript is blessed with an abundance of UI test automation, Libraries, tools & frameworks such as WebdriverIO, Cypress, TestCafe, protractor, Puppeteer, to name but a few but 2020 saw the launch of a brand new library, Playwright.

Playwright, from those guys at Microsoft, is a Node.js library to automate Chromium, Firefox and WebKit with a single API. Playwright is built to enable cross-browser web automation that is ever-green, capable, reliable and fast.

In this talk we'll look at the basic of Playwright to understand why it has gained so much attention in the past few months and why it is tipped to have a bright future.
