What is a brief description of your talk?
We'll talk about several ways to deploy your code and demo actual deployment through Netlify (and hopefully a few others like Firebase and Heroku) live.

How will this improve how people work with JavaScript?
You've been building websites for a while now, but getting your code from your computer to actually be on the web seems like an major hurdle. It's time to get that code out to the world! Deploy it!

What is one thing people should know beforehand to better understand this talk? What are pre-meetup resources that individuals should check out?
We'll mostly be deploying web projects (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) from files on your desktop or in a GitHub repository, but if there's time, we'll deploy a gatsby project to a live domain as well. Having a GitHub account, doing a Gatsby tutorial, or purchasing a domain from google domains would be a great for those who want to follow along with every step. None of that is required though, I try to keep my talks really approachable, so newcomers are absolutely welcome.

What information about you would you like to share (bio, links, contact info?)
I teach adults to code at Prime Digital Academy (primeacademy.io). I teach kids to code at Abamath (abamath.com) and Code Championship (codechampionship.com). Even if coding is new to you, you can contribute to open source code with me at Approachable IO (approachable.io).

7:45/8:00 - Free time to discuss, network, hack, etc.

8:30 - Disperse!

Location Notes:

On-street parking, or use of the paid parking lot behind The Bachelor Farmer is recommended.

This area is also heavily served by public transit – take the Green or Blue Lines to Target Field, or the 4, 6, or 11 to Hennepin and Washington to arrive near.

Please reach out to the organizers (javascriptmn@gmail.com) if you would like to use the building's accessible entrance, as we can make additional arrangements.

It's always a great event, hope to see you there!
