7:00 - Main presentation - Making the Web Work for Everyone – Jason Webb

"As the front-end gets more and more complicated, how can we make sure that what we’re building is usable by everyone? In this talk we’ll take a look at some common accessibility problems through live code and screen reader demos, and talk through why accessibility is such an important skill for front-end devs today. You’ll get to see first-hand how big of an impact clean, semantic markup has, and you’ll leave the talk with a toolkit of practical actions that you can take to move your company forward!"

Jason Webb is a Developer Advocate with Accessible360, a local startup focused on digital accessibility testing and consulting. "My job to make sure that developers have what they need to better understand and fix accessibility issues in their projects, and to share accessibility insights with other developers at meetups and conferences. Feel free to reach out any time with your accessibility stumpers, or to learn more about web accessibility in general!"
