Description

In this session, we will learn about TypeScript, the new, JavaScript inspired language by Microsoft. The introductory TypeScript session will cover TypeScript basics necessary for junior workplace skills.

• What is Typescript?

• Why should I use Typescript?

• How it works?

• How to use it?

• Installation, Setup and Configuration.

• Typescript Fundamentals (practical version)

• Demo (Angular1 ES5 to Typescript)

By attending this session you will,

• Be able to understand why TypeScript is used to build large web applications

• Installation and configuration of Typescript

• Use TypeScript's static typing and error checking.

• Create and extend TypeScript classes

• Use Interface to maintain shape of object.

• Modularize code using Module/Namespace

We will learn about interfaces, inheritance, classes, enum, module, namespace, etc. Using the module system, we will share code between various TypeScript files and compile them to JavaScript.
